Polyamory and Polyamorous Relationship Coaching Tip: Resources To Help You Learn More About Polyamory and Polyamorous Relationships
Laurie Ellington, Poly-Coach, Offers Coaching Tips for Open Relationships, Polyamorous Relationships, Poly Dating, and Ethical Non-Monogamy.
There are quite a few resources I recommend to my clients. Online is a great place to start. It’s amazing how easy it is to get information, read articles, participate in forums, ask questions and meet people who have direct experience with open relationships and polyamory.
If you are looking for books, try some of the following:
“What Does Polyamory Look Like?” by Mim Chapman, PhD. Simply put, this book offers a glimpse at the different kinds of poly relationships. It’s a great way to get familiar with what’s possible in this lifestyle.
“More Than Two,” by Franklin Veaux and Eve Rickert. Great resource for all things poly! They have an extensive website too.
“Opening Up,” by Tristan Taomorino. This book offers an in depth look on how to create and sustain healthy open relationships.
“Sexual Agreements,” by Amara. Simple book with a powerful message on how to communicate around sex and create agreements that feel good for all parties.
“The Happiness Trap,” by Russ Harris. Great book for dealing with emotions, thoughts that want to take over our minds, and how to deal with stories that want to create havoc in our relationships.
“The Power of Now,” by Ekhart Tolle. This book is a gem of a resource in helping people raise their level of awareness in every area of your life.
“The 5 Love Languages,” by Gary Chapman. This is a great resource for discovering your unique way of giving and receiving love, as well as how your partner/partners do the same.
