Polyamory and Polyamorous Relationship Coaching Tip: Discovering The Sweet Spot In Polyamory and Ethical Non-monogamy

Have you ever gotten a taste of the “Sweet Spot?” You know, the place where everything just feels right, centered, balanced?
For me, it feels like a quiet energizing hum, centered in my heart that reverberates throughout my entire body. It’s a yummy place. I feel safe, connected, met, and so incredibly alive!
I have been frequenting this sweet spot with my primary partner, in how we connect with each other and how we connect with other people. I see how sinking into sensation, and speaking from that place helps me connect with myself and with others. I see how this practice is helping my polyamorous relationship (poly-coach) clients, move through challenging situations quickly and potently.
Just the other day I received an “emergency” call from a polyamorous relationship couple who was in a tough place. I listened to them as they put their “story” on the table. It was challenging for me to see how two people, who were choosing to be in an open relationship together, were engaging in such hurtful behaviors towards one another. Knowing they were actively practicing polyamory, was of even more concern for me. It was challenging for me to put my triggers aside, and hold space for each one of them to show up, come clean, say what needed to be said, acknowledge their mishaps, and really sit in the space of how their choices were impacting the other. What a humbling experience it was for me to hold the sails of a ship that was being rocked by such a powerful storm!
I was humbled by the impact that Poly-Coach session had upon me. I witnessed once again how the unconscious mind, our shadow, our small ego self, acts out in the face of fear, uncertainty, and challenge. In directing my attention toward that energy, creating a space for the energy to show up and be seen, my clients were able to see each other in a new light; a light bright enough for them to see the love for each other and the possibilities available to them when they take the time to slow down, get present, connect, and communicate. They got a taste of the “sweet spot.”
Upon ending the session, we made an agreement to bathe in the energy of the “sweet spot” for a few minutes, allowing it to seep into our bones, into our experience of ourselves, and into our connections with other people.
Today, I feel blessed to be able to support people in discovering their “sweet spot”. I feel closer to my own awareness of what this place is for me, and the potential it has for all those I come in contact with, especially my polyamorous relationship clients. What a powerful journey we are on!
